SMB Accounting and Consulting was founded in March of 2018. Originally from a small town in North Carolina, my accounting career has taken me from US Air Force accounting offices all over the world to local small businesses.  During my 11-year tenure as a civilian with the United States Air Force, my career focused on appropriated (tax dollars) and nonappropriated (revenue generated) accounting, reporting, and auditing. Since leaving the Department of Defense (DOD), I’ve worked in corporate and small business accounting, including small business federal contracts.

With a background in fraud prevention and internal controls, I earned the COSO Internal Controls Certification in 2018 and became a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2020.

Brevard County has been my home since 2012.  Shortly after my arrival, I met my husband, Erik.  In 2023 we started Bloom CPAs and Advisors and acquired Bouvier & Associates, the firm Erik’s worked at since 2006.  The small business atmosphere and rich community made it the perfect place for my life and career.
